Multicultural coexistence means that people with different cultural backgrounds and values ​​live together, respecting and understanding each other, and participating equally as members of society.

With the aim of realizing a multicultural society in Kyotanba Town where Japanese and foreign residents can coexist, we are carrying out our activities with the following specific goals in mind.

We are holding for the purpose of learning about each other's cultures and interacting with each other through making and eating foreign and Japanese food together.

KIMONO

Welcome to our Kimono Dressing Club! We welcome Japanese residents, foreign residents, and complete beginners alike. If you have ever thought, "I want to try putting on a kimono by myself," or "I want to learn the basics of kimono dressing," let’s have fun learning together! Our instructors will teach patiently using "Easy Japanese" (Yasashii Nihongo), so international participants can join in with confidence.

Our schedule is designed to help you step up your skills comfortably each time, moving from the basics to actual practice.

Dates: Approximately 3 times a year
Location: Kyotamba Town Yanson Kaihatsu Center Mizuho, 2nd Floor, Japanese-style Room (Tatami Room) (map
Who can participate: Anyone living or working in Kyotamba Town
Capacity: 10 participants
How to participate: Advance registration is required from here. If you do not own a kimono and wish to borrow one, please let us know when you sign up. (Rental kimonos are available on a first-come, first-served basis due to limited quantities.)
